Music Monday

Vissi D'arte
I lived for my art, I lived for love,
I never did harm to a living soul!
With a secret hand
I relieved as many misfortunes as I knew of.
Always with true faith
my prayer
rose to the holy shrines.
Always with true faith
I gave flowers to the altar.
In the hour of grief
why, why, o Lord,
why do you reward me thus?
I gave jewels for the Madonna’s mantle,
and I gave my song to the stars, to heaven,
which smiled with more beauty.
In the hour of grief
why, why, o Lord,
ah, why do you reward me thus?

    opera!!! what a nice song!

  • Anonymous 9.3.09

The bird looks great. I love how you managed to capture the feel of the original within 5 times bigger "canvas". Very nice.

  • Jackie 10.3.09

Yes Kim the song is divine. I am very picky when it comes to opera.

First I am not familiar with this genre of music at all. So when I hear a piece that I like I am really in love with it.

This one stirred my very inner being. Thanks for sharing it with us!!:-)

  • Jackie 10.3.09

  • Lynda Lehmann 10.3.09

Yummy a coffee sounds good. I think I'll put a pot on.

I wish i could display them all but the other s have women standing. to make them fit int the post would destroy the quality completely.
