I would like to wish all my dear friends in blogland a happy...safe and peaceful start to the new year ....
Unfortunately I have not had a good start as I injured my shoulder before Christmas and it doesn't look like it is getting much better ....
so I will be posting and commenting to the best of my limited ability until my arm mends....

best wishes

So sorry to hear about your shoulder Kim! I know this is definitely not the way one hopes to start out the new year.... Here is wishing you a speedy recover with lots of rest!

    thanks very much Suzanne....
I was hoping to get quite a bit of painting finished...I suppose I will have to be patient....hmmmm

Hope your shoulder is soon on the mend, Kim.

Thrilled to see you have reviewed your wonderful '101 artists' blogs' list and I crept into the top 10 - marvellous! Thanks so much for all your hard work on this - particularly given the vagaries of Technorati :)

Make the most of your enforced relaxation and have a great New Year!

    Diane

Its hard to imagine an artist that doesn't smoke Kim, I've met a lot and they all do. Of course, they also intend to stop or cut down, but its just such an addictive thing. Paris being the artists haven, so to speak, may find this rather difficult.

This is not to pooh pooh your efforts at stopping. By all means, do so, and I hope it does not alter your creative juices. Its a lot better to be a living artist than a late artist, or a sickly one; in which case, no real creative juice can be extracted. LOL!

Keep creating, that is one GOOD the world cannot have enough of! --Durano, done!

    Hi Kim,
Thanks for visiting me. A very Happy New Year to you, and I hope your shoulder is on the mend soon.

I have been working my way through your amazing list, and finding some wonderful people. Thank you again so much for putting this together.

By the way, I am an artist and I do not smoke. Used to, quit completely over 8 years ago. It's worth it, I can breathe now.

I wish you well in 2008, and look forward to more!

my right arm is ok ...it's just doing the work of two at the moment....so will have to watch that I don't overwork it ! :)

will check out your tag :)

    thanks Kris
I agree the list has been wonderful for meeting new artists and I'm so pleased to see so much interaction ...artists are usually such solitary creatures...

What an adorable photo, Kim! Are those cuckatoos?

I hope you shoulder feels better soon. Have you tried bromelain, a natural enzyme from pineapple, available at health food stores? It's a natural anti-inflammatory.

A happy and healthy new year to you, too, in spite of your shoulder. I'm sure you'll make good use of your "down-time."

    :)
